Peter Hawkins letter to Joy Laurey, with original postmarked envelope

Typed two-page personal letter from Peter Hawkins to Joy Laurey, dated 23 July 1952, on his Sutton, Surrey letterhead, with the original envelope postmarked Sutton, Surrey, 24 July 1952 and addressed to Miss Joy Laurey at York Gate Hall, Broadstairs, Kent. Hawkins apologises for the delay in sending a promised display photograph; discusses recent television work on Louise Hutton’s Three Little Mushrooms, produced by David Boisseau, in which he manipulates and voices the Farmer, Donkey and Lob; and says he is due to make a trial film for Freda Lingstrom’s The Flower-pot Men.
