Mr Turnip's Table Decorations
A boxed Mr Turnip table-decoration craft set manufactured in England by Glevum Games, with artwork by Joy Laurey. The illustrated lid features Mr Turnip beside a laid table and carries the Glevum Games trade mark, 'Made in England', and the licensing statement 'By permission of Joy Laurey and the B.B.C.' The surviving contents include paper doilies and printed serviettes featuring an outline image of Mr Turnip, intended to be coloured and decorated. The original instructions explain that the serviettes could be coloured directly or placed over a coloured design sheet so further designs could be traced in pencil, while the raised portions of the doilies could also be coloured.
