Luntoy pull-along Mr Turnip toy

A vintage Luntoy pull-along toy depicting Mr Turnip. The painted wooden figure is mounted on a blue wheeled base with four red metal wheels and a red pull cord. Mr Turnip has a spring-mounted head with fibre hair, wears a red jacket and green trousers, carries a black case marked “MR TURNIP” and holds a black umbrella. A metal maker’s label on the base reads “LUNTOY SUPERTOY — MADE IN ENGLAND”. Acquired from Laidlaw Auctioneers. Approximate overall size: 330 mm long × 320 mm high.
