Original annotated pencil study of Mr Turnip by Joy Laurey. The full-length figure is shown in formal dress with a bow tie, standing beside lightly sketched background and prop details. Surrounding pencil notes appear to record colour and design ideas, retaining the feel of an active working drawing. The reverse carries a very faint unfinished facial sketch and light transferred marks.
