Newark Children’s Theatre programme for the Laurey Puppets, 21 November 1953

A four-page programme produced by Newark Children’s Theatre for three performances by the Laurey Puppets at Barnby Road County School, Newark, on Saturday 21 November 1953, at 10.30 a.m., 2.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The cover shows Snippet having a tussle with a typewriter. Inside, the programme lists The Entwhistles Entertain by Joy Laurey and Dorrie Johnson, The Emperor’s Nightingale, and a variety selection using string and glove puppets. The rear page records the theatre’s 1953 activities, including a lecture-demonstration by Joy Laurey and Dorrie Johnson with Mr Turnip on 23 October.
