Joy regularly travelled all over the world attending puppet festivals.  Taking her puppet creations with her, she would perform in-front of both visiting spectators and her peers - the very best puppeteers in the world!
 
Joy took many photographs of Romania during her stay there on her Delmonta camera.  Not limited to the exhibiting puppets and puppeteers, she was clearly fascinated with the people in the surrounding area.  A lifestyle that no doubt seemed vastly different to her own life at home in Tiptree.  Cataloging her time there in a methodically organised album, it shows us a keen interest in photography in an almost documentary-style, making excellent use of the dozen rolls of film she took with her.
