Luntoy Lead Mr Turnip Figure
A vintage painted cast-lead figure of Mr Turnip produced by Luntoy. The standing figure depicts Mr Turnip in his familiar formal dress, with a red jacket, white shirt front and black bow tie, green trousers and black shoes, mounted on an integral painted base. The surviving paintwork clearly preserves the character's distinctive turnip-shaped head, pointed ears and top curl. This small three-dimensional toy is an example of the Mr Turnip merchandise produced during the character's popularity on BBC television.
